The Casa del Cinema Association was founded in 2009 and groups together the associations recognised as cultural bodies of regional interest active in the area (Alpe Adria Cinema, La Cappella Underground, Anno Uno, Maremetraggio), as well as the Bonawentura Cooperative. It is based in the spaces of the former Casa del Lavoratore Portuale, in piazza Duca degli Abruzzi in Trieste.
The main objective is to become the link between the film realities of the Trieste area, all of international importance, in the perspective of an integrated programme of activities, experiences, skills, professionalism and assets acquired over the years by each component.
